My 5 yr old son tried new Suave Kids Purely Fun 2 in 1 shampoo + conditioner and got some of the product in his eyes (as kids do). He screamed for 20 mins.

I flushed his eyes with water for 20 mins in the shower but his eyes remained BRIGHT red and highly irritated for 30 mins during and after. The Suave bottle claims hypoallergenic and says "No Tears". I did not expect this kind of a reaction and was very alarmed. I called the Suave health line to report the occurrence.

I also found several similar reports from parents with similar irritation and bright red eyes online. Be careful.

Reason of review: Health concern and attempted to contact them via their consumer phone with NO ANSWER.

Monetary Loss: $4.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Location: Kernersville, North Carolina

My 2year old used this product tonight and got some in eyes it's horrible she is still complaining that her eyes are hurting she screamed and cried for half. An hour this is extremely harsh shampoo on the eyes it's a lie about no tears. Something needs to be done and until it needs to be pulled from the shelves

There are some really disgusting responses posted to this complaint. Either these are teens with too much time on their hands or grown adults with serious mental issues.

its kids it should not harm eyes

hahaha no tears in your hair xD

When a shampoo bottle says "No Tears" it means no tears in your hair. Your hair will stay strong. It has nothing to do with tears in your eyes.

Use J&J baby shampoo. Oh, that's right.

You are one of those people that needs a colorful cartoon character on the package to make a purchase. Maybe J&J baby shampoo with a box of crayons would help.

I recently found out that "No Tears" does not mean that it will not irritate the eyes. It actually means that it has detangling agents in it so that, when you brush your child's hair, you will not have to comb through a bunch of tangles. Hence, "No tears." BS, isn't it, because EVERYONE thinks it means it won't irritate the eyes.

Ignores the trolls.

Apparently it is not tangle proof either.

Admit it, you beat your son, you punched him in the face, that is how he was really injured in the eyes.

Hopefully next time it blinds him and u
