Terrible product, terrible customer service
- - Product caused painful irritation after a small dab; returns were inconvenient.
- - Customer service promised a Visa-like refund but gave nothing.
I had bought 2 bottles of Suave Keratin Infusion Conditioner, for a total of $5.51 on sale at a retailer not conveniently located to my home, thus difficult to return the bottles, as my local transit system is subpar. I was in a rush, thus I first got a chance to test the conditioner at home.
Just a tiny dab on my finger left such a painfully irritated and dehydrated feeling on my palm for hours afterward, that no way was I going to apply that harsh irritant to my scalp!
So I phoned Suave on Aug.5th, and endured the rigmarole of submitting my info, bar codes, & lot numbers (identical on both bottles), then was assured i'd be emailed a printable page that would be equivalent to a Visa card which could be used at any store to buy anything.
But that was a blatant lie, as by now it's Aug.18th, and to date they've emailed me nothing but ongoing delaying tactics, and excuses, stating I'd be receiving coupon(s) without supplying a time by which I'd receive it, or what it's able to buy. Never mind I kept replying that their original phone guy had assured me I'd get a Visa-equivalent that's good for buying anything. For crying out loud, we're talking $5.51, and this is what they put me through for hours on end?
They also kept asking for the bar codes, lot numbers & photo's, despite my stating that I already gave the codes and numbers to the original phone guy. So finally i YET AGAIN sent them the numbers, including a photo, not excluding my emphasis that theirs is among the most HORRIBLE customer service i've experienced.
So to any of you out there, especially those who are chemical sensitive, I suggest due diligence in researching Suave products before buying them, especially if it will be inconvenient for you to return those products.
Because they care nothing about how they treat consumers. Seems they're paid to give customers the runaround rather than decent service.
- Only long-ago suave conditioners were non toxic for me
- Prior skin test on palm resulted in long lasting irritation
Preferred solution: I just need people to become aware of what they may be up against with certain companies. I already tried (obviously) to get a refund from them, but there's nobody to deal with. Rather just excuses and delays.

Suave Max Hold hair spray does not hold at all
The strongest hold Suave hair spray does not hold at all. Seems that it just water and nothing else.
Horrible product. It used to be better.

I was a #1 customer of Suave. I have recommended it to A LOT of people!!!! Lately I have noticed that there is soooo much more water in the conditioner!!!!!! This is leaving my hair frizzy and dry.

Products Discontinued
- - The brand was bought out in 2023.
- - New packaging changes include a shampoo with a squirt handle; Suave Skin Solutions lotion was fine.
Since the outfit was bought out in 2023, the @@## that bought the company has no idea what sold or didn't, and their repackaging is awful, especially their shampoo with a squirt handle. (Dumb) Also, now their body lotion (Suave Skin Solutions) was just fine, but why stick with what works?

I have been using suave products all my life, Jill. And hairspray I went to go to work and the hairspray was nothing but water.
I've been using swave products all my life. Gel n hairspray Last time getting ready for work I felt like I was squritin water on my hair.
REALLY WHAT HAPPEN TO THIS PROUDUCT. SOOOOO DISAPPOINTED.
I have been using rave hairspray forever now I bought 4 of them and all it does is make my hair dirty, had to wash it over again. Does not hold like it ised to do. Disgusting.
My hair just flops and there is a horrible coating on my hair. I will not buy this anymore and I use alot of hairspray.

Bought (3) of the 3 in one suave product for all my bathrooms and not ONE single pump worked. At almost 7$ a bottle, do better!!!

The entire line of quality in Sauve products has decreased so drastically, if it all possible, I will not purchase these products again.

Poor quality, and manufacturing. From hair breakage, straw like texture after using, and skin irritation these products are not worth the hassle or the money any longer.
There was a time a few years ago, when the quality was outstanding.
However, that is no longer the case. Suave was once a staple in most American households, and it almost seems inevitable that the products people once knew and loved, will no longer exist on store shelves.
Lastly, on top of poor quality, I also experienced bad customer service when I called to discuss several issues.

I am a single mother who was hit my a car and waiting to have neck and back surgery with very limited income I purchased 6 large bottles of suave shampoo and 6 large bottles of condition all the shea and almond which I have used since it came out every one of all 13 bottles had broken pumps none of them worked I tried to return them and exchange them and our local Walmart refused to exchange them because they are shampoo and conditioner even though 10 had not even been opened they suggested I email you and ask for replacement bottles and or coupons for free ones. I do not have extra money to buy more at all because my income is so limited I have to have a 6 tier fusion in my back and a 4 tier in my neck. Any assistance I would so appreciate thank uou

Which I may say isMainland Britain, the Scottish Borders. Every Courier firm deliver to this area.Having advertised Free UK. Nationwide Delivery. After numerous emails back & forward they blamed their Delivery Company.
I had to accept refund.
Now ordered same unit from a RELIABLE Company!! Extremely disappointed and frustrated with Suaves attention.

I have been using Suave products for years. A few weeks ago, at my local Walmart, I bought the special two pack of Keratin Infusion shampoo and conditioner for frizz control.
It had the pumps on the bottle.
I have tried endlessly to open the pump on both the shampoo and conditioner, to no avail.
I am a very dissatisfied 73 year old woman who now has to lift each 28 fl oz bottle to use as no other cap will work on it.
Please tell me how to resolve this problem as I have had to open and use the product and cant return to store.

I have bought many of these pump style products and have never had any problems like we have with suave mens 2 in 1. My husband has to use pliers to open this pump on every bottle. Frustrating.
